Strawberry-Banana-Almond Nice Cream

Nice cream is the most amazing delicious thing to come out of the vegan world. It is simply frozen bananas in the food processor mashed up until it starts to form a thick, creamy, churned, ice cream. If you don’t know about this stuff then let me introduce you to it. There will be many more nice cream recipes to come. See the pix below under the recipe for a snapshot tutorial. All you need is to see them and you’ll get the idea. From there, get creative as you want to be.

Strawberry-Banana-Almond Nice Cream

Avocado Nice Cream
  • 4-6 frozen sliced bananas (or as many as you desire, the more bananas you use the easier it will be to whip)
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries (slice before freezing)
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • Toppings
  • evaporated coconut milk, sliced almonds, a few slices banana

Slice the bananas before you freeze them, in a tupperware container or a bag. This will allow it to move into the blades easier. Place them in a food processor or high powered blender and blend them. I always use a food processor for nice cream because it works better. It will take some time, and you might need to move the meat down into the blades, or use a plunger if you are using a blender (high powered blenders only will do this). It will begin to move, form, and then turn into a whip.

When the nice cream has formed, add the strawberries and almond extract and keep processing until it's all a big nice cream ball. Scoop it into a bowl and enjoy with the toppings.
