Golden Turmeric Porridge

A hot morning porridge made of quinoa, oats, nut milk, and turmeric. Turmeric milk is often called golden milk. Tumeric is one of these amazing herbs that can help just about anything. There is no substance like it on the planet. If you haven’t seen it before it looks a lot like ginger and has a bright orange center. Turmeric can be juiced from its fresh form, dried into a powder and used for cooking, making tea, adding to smoothies, and buying in a concentrated form in a capsule. It is one of the most widely researched herbs and has a solid recognition for it’s safe and potent medicinal properties, shown arguably to be more effective than medications and prescriptions relating to disease, pain, cholesterol, cancer, inflammation, diabetes, and more. The powerful chemical component of this herb is called curcumin and you can find it sold almost everywhere in supplement form. Let’s do a run down of what this herb can do.

  • Anti-inflammatory- This is probably the most well known benefit of curcumin and the most relevant as to why it’s so powerful. Perhaps the greatest anti inflammatory and anticoagulant in the herb world. Because inflammation always leads to diseases and infection, it can also be said that taking turmeric is good for disease prevention. Diseases that plague people today such as chronic pain, cancer, ulcerative colitis, arthritis, depression, diabetes, brain disorders, gastrointestinal and bowel/colon issues, and high cholesterol, can be prevented and reversed by simply taking turmeric on a regular basis.

  • Anti-cancerous- Studies show that curcumin kills and blocks the formation of bowel, breast, colon, and skin cancer cells and their enzymes. It also was able to attack and reduce tumors, reverse, and treat the cancer while preventing it from spreading.

  • Diabetes management- Curcumin lowers blood sugar and reverses insulin resistance and hyperglycemia. Research showed it was 400 times more effective than common drugs taken for diabetes management. Not only can it correct and reverse the causes and issues surrounding diabetes, but also the most common complications such as diabetic neuropathy and retinopathy, which can lead to blindness.
